I am Catholic, born and raised, but most importantly believing and practicing. My faith is united with the faith of all my fellow Christian brothers and sister. I belong to my God because I have chosen to give my whole being to him. There have been times that I disagreed with the way things may have been handled by the leaders of our Church, but to me my church is so much more than just it's top officials. I stand by God the Father, Jesus Christ his son, and the Holy Spirit that dwells on Earth. I stand by the apostles and saints that have helped form this Church from the days of Jesus Death. I stand by the faithful Christians of this Earth whom have dedicated their lives to LOVING the World as our our flesh and blood. I stand by the prayers that I have learned from my father and mother, and their fathers and mothers. I stand by my four younger brothers who have trusted Jesus to always be there for them. It is my desire to spend every last day I have on this Earth loving, praising, and growing in God's Love.
This is my Faith: I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen. I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For me and for my salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For my sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered died, and was buried. On the third day He rose in fulfillment of the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
On a lighter note, today was also my momma's birthday!
We all went out for breakfast and then attended mass together, it was pretty awesome. I love how we must look taking up a whole row at church. It was a great day today, we even got in a little Beatles Rock Band!
Happy Birthday Mom!
and you too Tio Ricky.
